FAQ's
FAQ's
- 1. Do you stock parts? We do not stock screw machine parts for resale. We do inventory custom screw machine parts for customers against open orders as part of a Vendor Managed Inventory program.
- 2. What materials do you utilize? We work with aluminum, brass, stainless steel, steels, plastics and many other types of materials.
- 3. What is the typical turnaround time for CNC machining? Although timing varies with each project, typical turnaround is usually 2-3 weeks. Since many projects include precision investment casting, we can use the same math data to tool the CNC machining while the parts are being cast. Ultimately, this saves time and expense for our clients.
- 4. What tolerances can you hold in CNC machining? Tolerances in machining directly correlate to the quality of the CNC machines. A&L Machine owns 4 CNC horizontal and vertical milling and turning work stations, each equipped with an industry top-of-the-line Makino, Mazak or Mori seiki machine. In addition, our full complement of tools, two Blanchard grinders and variety of skilled tradesmen are prepared to complete any CNC machining job.
- 5. How do you test the final product for defects? Tuality control is of utmost importance to A&L Machine and our valued customers. We can complete the following forms of product defect testing in-house with Level-III certified personnel: non-destructive, physical properties, Level II x-ray, chemical and structural analysis. All testing results in a formal printed variations report.
